A new project is launched today to help restore some of the country's most vulnerable habitats -- wildflower meadows. Researchers from the Millennium Seed Bank at the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew will work with commercial growers, conservation groups and landowners to recreate meadows by collecting seeds from native plant species and growing them into larger stocks. As Daniel Boettcher reports, scientists also want to examine why some meadow species are difficult to re-establish.
