It is well known that the author PG Wodehouse was criticised after World War II for broadcasting for the Nazis, a decision he later described as a "hideous mistake".

Security correspondent Gordon Corera talks about the MI5 files just released that shed light on the episode.

And Wodehouse's biographer Robert McCrum explains that "he wanted to show he had still the stiff upper lip and had survived this terrible experience... he wanted to be light hearted which was the wrong thing to do in Nazi Germany".
