Amelia Hill, the journalist who broke the story about Milly Dowler's phone being hacked, was questioned under caution by the Metropolitan Police and threatened with the use of the Official Secrets Act unless she identified the police officer who had given her the story. The case was due to be heard at the Old Bailey on Friday, but the Metropolitan Police now say they are dropping the case. The Deputy Assistant Commissioner Mark Simmons from the Met explains why.
