The news that Vladimir Putin plans to return to the Kremlin has put Russia back in the spotlight.

And one man who knows the country better than many is A D Miller. He lived there between 2004 and 2007, while working as a correspondent for The Economist magazine.

Now he has written a book inspired by his time there. Snowdrops is the biggest selling novel on the shortlist for this year's Man Booker Prize. A D Miller has been talking to our arts correspondent Rebecca Jones.
