The energy regulator Ofgem is reporting that profit margins at the main energy suppliers have hit £125 per customer per year, up from £15 in June.

Ian Marlee, from Ofgem, says they are planning to force suppliers to introduce simpler pricing structures - to help customers to identify the best deals.
