Thames Water will today publish its latest plans for building what it calls a supersewer - a twenty mile long concrete tunnel that would cost more than £4bn and take seven years to build. Richard Aylard, director of sustainability for Thames Water, responds to criticism from London councils that it could be done quicker and cheaper.
