The situation at Dale Farm appears to be far from resolved, with most of the families evicted three weeks ago and whose homes have been demolished simply moving into caravans a few hundred metres away.

Andrew Hosken spoke to travellers living near the site who say that they "have nowhere to go" following their eviction.

But council leader Tony Ball said that, of the 90 families living on the site, the "overwhelming majority" had found places to live elsewhere.

"I would very much encourage them [the travellers] not to go down the route of breaking the criminal law again," he said.
