French president Nicolas Sarkozy is in Berlin for more talks with the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, on the Eurozone crisis.

President Sarkozy may be the more colourful of the two politicians, but it is Chancellor Merkel who is the deal maker, the crisis having reinforced Germany's position as the leading power in Europe.

Chancellor Merkel's position is helped by an economy which is doing much better than those of other countries in Europe, including Britain; unemployment is at its lowest in the 20 years since re-unification.
