Leonard Cohen is set to release his first studio album in eight years, and ahead of the launch spoke to musician and broadcaster Jarvis Cocker in front of a live audience.

"I always felt I was scraping the bottom of the barrel" when writing songs, Cohen confessed.

Reflecting on his fellow song-writer, Jarvis Cocker told the Today programme that the lyrics of Cohen's new album look the aging process "straight in the face".
