During Wednesday's session of the Leveson Inquiry, the idea was raised that celebrities might be able to opt in or opt out of a register which determined the level of media scrutiny they received.
Alan Edwards who runs an entertainment PR company called Outside, thinks the register suggested by Lord Leveson is "unworkable and impractical'. Celebrities and magazines have a "common interest", he adds. He also goes as far as saying that magazines will go out of business and people will lose their jobs if the register is implemented.
