The famous old Hammer Horror films, made by the Hammer Film Production company, were perhaps seen as quite over the top. The Hammer Books imprint has often put those films into novel form.

But an interesting transition is occurring - its publishing its first original fiction now. And it comes from Helen Dunmore, an Orange Prize winner. She discusses the revival of the genre with Lizzie Franckie, senior executive producer at the British Film Institute.
