In Uganda a bill is being considered by parliament which proposes harsh penalties for homosexuals- including lengthy prison sentences and even the death penalty.

Homosexuality is already illegal in Uganda - as it is in most African countries - and increasing levels of homophobia have resulted in some Ugandans having to flee the country.
