The government has announced that the founder of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales, is to be an unpaid adviser, supporting its agenda to open up policy making to the public. According to the Cabinet Office he will work with the government on developing innovative new ways in which technology can be used to give the public a greater say in the policy-making process.
