Playwright Alecky Blythe won prizes, but caused controversy, with her musical London Road, based on the 2006 murders in Suffolk of five women working as prostitutes.

She has used the same approach of reproducing verbatim interviews she conducted with people caught up in the events for a her newest work.

Where Have I Been All My Life? is based on interviews with real-life contestants in a Staffordshire talent show: Stoke's Top Talent.
