Seventy years ago, one of the most celebrated of all US military operations took place - the 1942 Doolittle raid on Tokyo.

Bombers set out from an aircraft carrier in the Pacific to bomb Tokyo and other Japanese cities, in the first raid in response to Pearl Harbor four months before.

Lieutenant Colonel Edward Saylor was one of 80 crew members to take part in the attack.

"I'm not sure how we got away with it. We had a lot of luck," he told Evan Davis.
