New research from UCL's Institute of Opthalmology has succeeded in restoring the sight of mice through the use of transplanted photoreceptor cells from juvenile mice.

This video shows three mice. The first, which is sighted, reacts to the visual cue, allowing it to navigate past the hidden platform while the second, a blind mouse, does not. However, the third mouse, which has had its sight restored, also completes the task.
