The British Library is inviting people with WW1 memorabilia at home to get them digitised to feature in a free-to-use digital museum Europeana.
Zubeida Malik spoke to Joan Almond, the daughter of John Stafford, a British soldier who was left for dead for two days in the Somme before being rescued.
His memoirs, described as "very moving" by his daughter, will be part of the Europeana project.
