Nasa is planning to build a new space telescope that is bigger and better than the Hubble.

Dr Eric Smith, deputy director for the James Webb Space Telescope, says the primarily goal is to see the things Hubble cannot, such as very distant objects in the universe.

They hope to capture the ancient light from the first stars and galaxies that formed after the big bang, he said.
