The leader of the OECD, Angel Gurria believes the chancellor should "stay the course" on the economy as "the UK is now sowing the seeds of what will be the elements for recovery."

He will be attending a big conference later today in London along with some of the world's leading business figures ahead of the Olympic games.

He told the BBC's Today programme that "you have to have credible public finances before you start moving on to growth."
