Many Chechen children have never been outside the republic, and don�t know what a circus or zoo is like.

But they know very well what to do when a plane approaches or when something explodes nearby.

�We tell them fairytales, in fairytales Evil can never defeat Beauty,� says puppet theatre director Yaragi Delayev.

Although the actors face many hardships, the children's happy faces make them forget the war.
