Peter Hull, who uses artificial arms and a wheelchair, said: "It shows there can be different kinds of people and different kinds of beauty. It also shows there can be different kinds of courage, whether fighting a war or just getting on with your life." Mr Hull, from Hampshire, believes the statue will help change attitudes towards disabled people.
