Kebab shop worker Amir Virk, 28, said: "The crimes Tobin has been convicted of are so wicked I really don't know what punishment would suffice.

"The murder would have been shocking no matter where it was committed, but the fact it happened in a church, a place of refuge where everyone should feel safe, just makes it even more so."
