'Garrido should have served full sentence'

Sheriff Warren E Rupf has criticised the fact that the man accused of abducting Jaycee Lee Dugard in 1991 was released from prison for a prior conviction early.

Phillip Garrido was sentenced to 50 years in prison for rape in 1979, but was released after serving only nine years.

Sheriff Rupf added that police must learn lessons from the case.
