Battle winner sad at empty seats
Clement show
St Clement's steals the show
The designer of the winning entry in this year's Jersey Battle of Flowers says he was disappointed at the number of empty seats in the arena.

Marcus Davies created St Clement's float which won the Prix D'Honneur in Thursday's parade.

The event attracted fewer people than in previous years, which has led Battle organisers to annouce they may hold public meetings to ask islanders for ideas of ways to change it.

Mr Davies said: "I thought it was a bit of a tragedy when you consider the hours that go into creating these floats and really to have very few people to show it off to."

He said the moonlight parade on Friday night was better attended.
