Watermarking: This provides a series of new links across rivers in the region. The aim is to bring different sides of a town, community or culture together
Eastgate

Eastgate: This would be a feature film building on the region's links with American heritage. The film uses an American airbase and centres its plot around a Christmas dinner party, memories of past loves and stories of strange lights in the sky
The East Light

The East Light: This is a pair of high vertical lights projected from Cambridge and Felixstowe by two beams - one on a tower of reinforced glass, the second in a glass wind turbine
East Reef

East Reef: This is a proposal to replenish and protect the Norfolk coastline. It would extend a section of experimental reef at Sea Palling - parts would be used for water sports and holiday activities
Fields of Vision

Field of Vision: Made up from fields of slender upright stems, this is a series art installations which harness wind and light. The stems sway in response to air currents and generate an audible tone
Interactive Bridges

Interactive Bridges: This would be a series of eye-catching and memorable bridges throughout the region. Each bridge would be for pedestrians and cyclists and would be inter-linked to show the activity on every other bridge
Light Canvas

Light Canvas: Three-dimensional light sculptures would be built at six sites in the region and would allow any form of digital input to be displayed. Light Canvas would use renewable energy and emit ambient sounds
North Sea Train

North Sea Train: A symbolic art piece which is covered with sand from the region and is shaped as a railway carriage. It is designed to link the region through the North Sea Ring -and across to Scandinavia and Northern Europe
Landscape East

Landscape East: A bridge of reeds spanning the A14 near Cambridge and leading to 6,000 hectares of green space in one of the fastest growing areas of the country
Star of the East

Star of the East: This is a renewable energy power station based at an old power station in Norfolk. It would also include 'nodes' built in six counties which would link together. The project also has education and research facilities
Environmentally Sustainable Region
12 of 12
Sustainable Region: The idea of an environmentally sustainable region is based on six research centres, connected by a physical and virtual network. Centres would focus on issues of regional and universal interest
