Audio slideshow: Birth in the 1940s
The National Childbirth Trust, Europe's largest parents' charity, has been celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

Margaret and Glyn Thomas, now in their 80s, started a family when childbirth was a very different experience for mothers and fathers.

Here they remember the snowy day in February 1947 when their daughter Bronwen was born.
