Rachel Wilson, 19 disappeared from her home in Grove Hill, Middlesbrough on 30 May after a night out with her family.

The last known sighting of Rachel was from security camera footage, which shows her alive and well in Middlesbrough town centre at 0330 BST on 31 May.

On Thursday Rachel's mother Tina said she was not prepared to give up hope of seeing her daughter alive again.

'Living nightmare'

Officers from Cleveland Police have so far drawn a blank in their hunt for the teenager, who turned to prostitution to feed a heroin habit.

But Mrs Wilson said: "Somebody, somewhere must know something about my daughter.

"It's like you are in a nightmare that you can't wake from.

"I hope she is safe - I have to hang on to that."

Rachel is the third prostitute from Teesside to go missing from Middlesbrough.

Vicky Glass, 21 also turned to prostitution to feed her heroin addiction. She went missing in 1998 and her remains were found on the North York Moors, two years ago. Her killer has never been found.

Donna Keogh, 17, also disappeared from the same area of Middlesbrough town centre.
