Postal staff in Cambridgeshire and Essex are on strike in a dispute with Royal Mail over national agreements. Communication Workers Union (CWU)members at branches in Southend and Chelmsford in Essex and Peterborough in Cambridgeshire have walked out. The strike will last for 24-hours and will end on Tuesday. The CWU said its members were striking because the Royal Mail had "not adhered to national agreements". Royal Mail was unavailable for comment.
