Plans for a new sewage treatment works in west Cornwall have been approved, despite objections from local people.
South West Water released revised plans for the works at Sennen in August after complaints about the proposed location.
Villagers in Sennen and St Levan objected to the �6m project because it was originally going to be on two sites, at Sennen and Porthcurno.
The new design, approved by Cornwall County Council, places the sewage treatment works on a single site.
The development includes a treatment works and four pumping stations to deal with sewage from Sennen, Sennen Cove and Porthcurno.
