Plans for a 108m upgrade of one of the busiest junctions in the Midlands have been changed after the discovery of a nationally-important bat roost.
Its exact location by the Longbridge Island, where the M40 meets the A46 near Warwick, has not been revealed by the Highways Agency.
The proposals are on public display on Friday and Saturday at the nearby Hilton Hotel, off Stratford Road.
Work on the scheme is due to get under way in 2007.
The agency said the new proposals hardly differ from the original.
The A46 bypass - going around the island crossing the M40 on a new bridge - will now be closer to the existing island and the southern tie-in to the A46 will be a roundabout.
Traffic lights and extra lanes were previously added to the island to try and deal with congestion where the M40 from London to Birmingham meets the A46, from Coventry to Stratford, and the A429 from Warwick to the Cotswolds.
