The original bells at the church were out of tune

A 120,000 project to restore the bells at a Devon church is nearing completion after five years.
The original bells at Crediton Parish Church were out of tune, but have now been melted down to make 10 new bells.
A huge frame of steel girders, which will hold the bells, has been erected in the church tower and the bells will be hoisted up in the next few days.
If the work stays on schedule, it is hoped the new bells will start to ring out again at the end of the month.
Trap doors
None of the original bells - weighing a total of five tons (5,080kg) - had been moved from the bell tower since they were cast nearly 200 years ago.
In April this year, they were disconnected and lowered through a series of trap doors, 80 feet (24.4 metres) to the church floor.
They were then transported to the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in London, where they were melted down to be cast into the 10 new bells.
One of the original bells was made at the foundry in 1814.
