Fly tippers strike at beauty spot
Hundreds of tyres and tins of paint have been illegally dumped at a beauty spot in Devon.

The items, which are toxic and flammable, were found at a car park which is popular with dog walkers at Mamhead Woods, near Exeter.

The land near the Obelisk at Mamhead is owned by the Forestry Commission and the area has been cordoned off.

Staff from the Environment Agency will start disposing of the rubbish on Thursday morning.

Fly tipping is a growing problem despite increased penalties for those caught.

Anyone convicted faces up to six months in prison or a fine of up to 20,000.
