Fish dock to undergo 3.4m revamp
A north Devon fishing dock is to be given a 3.4m refit.

A new ice plant and fish processing site will be built, storage facilities refitted and office space created at Appledore fish dock.

The South West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) says the dock's capacity for both fish landings and processing will go up, making it more competitive.

The money will come from the EU, the SWRDA, Torridge District Council and the Bideford Trawlermen's Cooperative.

SWRDA says the money will bring benefits to Appledore's economy by allowing the fishing industry to expand.
