Maintenance work is set to get under way as part of a revamp of a main thoroughfare in Dorset.
Part of the work on South Street in Wareham will include better and wider stone paving surfaces and a new pedestrian crossing.
Motorists and cyclists are also set to benefit from additional on-street car parking and bicycles stands.
The project starts as an improvement scheme to the town's South Bridge comes to an end, the county council said.
