Building work postpones icy swim
|

A traditional Gloucestershire Christmas event will not take place for the first time in more than 70 years.
Swimmers usually take to the icy waters of Cheltenham's Sandford Lido for a festive dip on Christmas Day.
Organisers have called it off this year because the pool is in the process of being re-built.
A Cheltenham Borough spokeswoman said: "There's a lot of work going on at the moment with diggers in the pool. It looks more like a building site."
