Statue of composer commissioned
A bronze statue of Cheltenham's famous composer Gustav Holst has been commissioned in celebration of his life and work.

Plans have been revealed by the town's civic society to spend �45,000 - bequeathed by a member - on the statue.

Holst, who was born in the Pittville area of the town, is well-known as the composer of the Planets Suite.

Members of the public are being invited to suggest where in Cheltenham the statue should be situated.
