Coastlines in Dorset and the Isle of Wight are among the best 25 in the UK, according to the National Trust.

Studland Beach, Golden Cap and The Needles have been entered in a competition to find the nation's favourite coastline.

The National Trust's Vote for the Coast contest runs until 31 October and will raise money for the trust's Neptune Coastline Campaign Fund.

The winner will be chosen by phone and text votes from members of the public.

Neptune Coastline Campaign Fund has helped the trust to look after more than 700 miles of the country's coastline.

The results of the contest will be announced on 12 November.
