More than 20 large cannabis plants seen growing in a field in Kent - some over 8ft high - have been seized by police.
Kent Police were called to shrub land off the A249 in Bobbing on Wednesday. officers believe a trespasser on the land had deliberately cultivated them.
Sgt Evan Jones, who ran the seizure, said the plants were cut down and stored in evidence bags.
He said a member of the public spotted the plants growing in a field at about 1330 BST.
"Many people are still unclear as to the legality of possessing, supplying and cultivating cannabis," he said.
"However, I wish to emphasise that it remains illegal to cultivate cannabis and we take the matter seriously."
Appealing for witnesses, he said the maximum penalty for supplying, dealing, cultivating and trafficking cannabis is 14 years in jail.
