The Vulcan was retired from service in 1984

A mystery donor who helped save the restoration of a Cold War RAF bomber has been revealed as millionaire football club owner Sir Jack Hayward.
The 83-year-old Wolverhampton Wanderers' owner gave 500,000 to the Vulcan bomber project last week.
The Avro Vulcan XH558 is being restored by a team of 32 engineers at a hangar in Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire.
Sir Michael Knight, chairman of the Vulcan to the Sky Trust, said a total of 1.3m was raised in two weeks.
'Icing on the cake'
He said Sir Jack's donation was 'the icing on the cake', with other individual and corporate contributions ranging from 94p to 60,000 - all greatly welcome.
The engineers working on the project aim to have the Vulcan airborne for a 17 June 2007 flypast over London.
The Vulcan rolled out of its hangar for the first time in seven years on Thursday.
There are more than a dozen remaining Vulcans, which were retired from service in 1984, but the Bruntingthorpe plane is the only one with a realistic chance of flying again.
