A Lincolnshire school is investing �4m in state-of-the-art sports facilities.
Lincoln's Christ's Hospital School will benefit from an all-weather sports pitch, tennis courts and a dance and fitness studio.
The funding has been raised by the sale of a field that was felt to be too far from the main site to be useful.
Head teacher Andy Wright said adults and community groups would also benefit from the new sporting facilities at the school.
"This will transform sporting facilities for both youngsters at the school and for those adults and groups who want to use the facilities but at this moment can't, particularly in the bad weather because of the amount of wear and tear there is on the grass," he said.
