A campaign has been launched to oppose plans for a new wind farm in Notts.
Residents said proposals for five turbines, measuring around 360 feet high, on farmland near Rainworth will blight the countryside.
The energy company Npower Renewables said feasibility studies for the facility, which would provide power for 4,000 homes, are already under way.
But some people living nearby have started to gather support for a campaign to derail the plans.
Although formal plans have not yet been submitted, Npower said it will seek expert advice for its studies and will consult residents.
