Tram operators and the police are looking at ways to improve security at a park-and-ride site in Nottingham.
Phoenix Park - which has 1,000 passengers a day - saw an increase in thefts from cars in December.
There was also an increase in crime at a nearby hotel. A report says recorded crime along the tram route remains low.
Ideas under consideration include "fishbowl cameras" to conceal the direction they point, and a security barrier at the site entrance.
NET, the operators, has installed 81 cameras on the tram system.
