Three different types of flagstones will be laid

Part of Nottingham's Old Market Square is being dug up this week in the first stage of a 7m scheme to transform the whole area.
A section will be laid with three different types of granite flagstones to let planners see how they will look once the whole space is repaved.
The area will be fenced off until May, when the stones will be tested as thousands of people walk across them.
The scheme also includes removing walls and steps to create a more open space.
In addition, there are plans for water terraces, and what the city council describes as a stunning lighting scheme for the rest of the square.
