The modern design of the centre has been criticised

The opening of a 14m arts centre in Nottingham has been delayed after problems were encountered with a sewerage pipe.
The Lace Market complex will hold exhibitions, live art, education activities and conferences.
The centre will probably open in February 2009 instead of at the end of the year as a result of the delay.
The Centre for Contemporary Art Nottingham has been under construction in the city centre since 2005.
The centre's chairman Gary Smerdon-White said the rerouting of a sewerage pipe that was discovered underneath the construction site will cause at least three months' delay.
"It is better to open in the new year of 2009 than to rush to get it done before Christmas 2008."
He rejected criticism from the city's civic society over the centre's angular shape and green colouring.
"Some parts of the centre are stunning - and it will be a building that the city will be proud of," he said.
