Trio's bail extended over death of Surrey woman with MS

Two men and a woman held in connection with the death of a woman with multiple sclerosis in Surrey have had their bail extended for a second time.

Surrey Police said the three were now due to answer bail on 29 April.

They were arrested in connection with the death of Cari Loder, 48, of Silo Road, Farncombe, who died at her home on 8 June.

One of the people held was Libby Wilson, 83, a former GP and right-to-die campaigner from Glasgow.

'Investigation continuing'

A man in his 70s from the Godalming area of Surrey and a man in his 50s from London were the other two people arrested.

Ms Loder reportedly spoke to Ms Wilson, a member of the Glasgow-based pro-euthanasia group Friends At The End, days before her death.

Ms Wilson was questioned on suspicion of aiding, abetting, counselling or procuring a suicide after attending Woking police station by appointment.

The two men were also arrested on suspicion of helping Ms Loder to end her life.

A spokesman for Surrey Police said: "The investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death [Cari Loder] is continuing."
