Wards reopened after bug outbreak
Two out of four wards have been reopened at a Brighton hospital hit by a vomiting bug.

A spokesman for the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust said on Sunday that the situation at the Royal Sussex County Hospital was improving.

Four wards were closed to new admissions on Thursday after an outbreak of the Norovirus bug affected 20 patients and two members of staff.

One was reopened on Saturday and a second on Sunday afternoon.

Relatives and friends of patients who have experienced diarrhoea, vomiting or similar symptoms are still asked not to visit the hospital until they have been symptom-free for at least 48 hours.
