A �400,000 children's centre in County Durham boasting a toy and book library is to be officially opened.
Burnhope SureStart Centre, for families with children under five, is on the site of Burnhope Primary School.
It will offer a range of facilities including early education, ante and post natal support for parents and specialist facilities for the disabled.
Vice Chairman of Durham County Council, Councillor Len O'Donnell, will perform the opening of the centre on Saturday.
Councillor Claire Vasey, Durham County Council's cabinet member for children and young people's services, said: "SureStart helps ensure that children's potential is unlocked at the earliest opportunity by providing access to quality integrated care and early years' education."
