Crisis meeting on 13m health cut
Trowbridge Maternity Hospital
A number of maternity units across Wiltshire could close
There are fears a number of community hospitals in Wiltshire could be forced to close to save 13m.

West Wiltshire Primary Care Trust (PCT) was criticised by the Audit Commission for going 2.8m over budget last year.

It has a projected overspend of 5.4m this year and has been told it must get its finances in order.

The PCT is holding a crisis meeting on Wednesday to discuss its options, but it is thought several small cottage hospitals may have to shut.

Maternity services in the county are also under threat as the trust cuts its budget by 11%.
