Improvements are being made to a number of schools in Wiltshire during the summer holiday.
The �2.5m programme of works includes the refurbishment of the science block at Castledown School in Ludgershall.
And Grove School in Trowbridge is to have four new classrooms to replace mobile classrooms.
Nigel Hunt, head of school buildings, said: "These improvements will give pupils and teachers better facilities in which to learn and teach."
The county council is spending �3m altogether this year on local schools.
