Aberdeen is said to be losing millions in possible income

Insufficient hotel accommodation cost Aberdeen �16m in lost tourism income in 2007, it has been estimated.
The head of the tourism agency VisitScotland in Aberdeen, Ian Dunlop, revealed the figure.
He said feedback from conference organisers who made bids to come to Aberdeen showed they went elsewhere because of a lack of suitable hotels.
Mr Dunlop said: "We hope new hotels in the pipeline will make sure we secure these conferences."
He said: "We are trying to attract quite big conferences to Aberdeen and they are very pleased with what they see in terms of conference facilities and the city itself."
However he said many want to stay close to Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC), where such events are often held.
